Grazia Riverditi has been a prominent leader in the field of sophisticated fashion makeup for over three decades. Born in Milan, Italy, Grazia has been obsessed with art and fashion for as long as she can remember. She found a natural form of expression in painting, therefore makeup was a natural progression.
Despite having no formal training, Grazia has become one of the most influential and respected makeup artists in the fashion industry. Regularly her team was a popular choice in directing the makeup for catwalk shows, creating looks for leading fashion houses from Dolce & Gabbana and Versace to Gucci and Armani.
In early 1995 having mastered the market in Milan, Grazia longed to test her abilities in America. Grazia made the move to New York, where her unmistikable talent was soon recognized by some of the most celebrated names in photography: Annie Liebovitz, Patrick Demarchelier, Paolo Roversi, Helmut Newton, all of whom have called upon her to craft shocking editorials, flawless advertising campaigns and fashion shoots featuring iconic celebrities.
In fashion makeup, Grazia remains inspired, she says “ I’m influenced by oblique references to clothes, traslucency or texture of the fabrics I see, the colors that are in the collections and the girl’s faces. It’s always a challenge but that’s the key - to do it different every time!"
Her knowledge of the latest products and technologies - most explicit in her use of airbrushing - meanwhile enable her to execute a designer’s most ambitious concept.
A significant figure among Grazia’s collaborators, Stefano Tambolla, without question is one of the leading names in makeup artistry today. Stefano grew up in lake Como but at a very young age he relocated to Milan to attend the Fashion Uptodate Management School.
While there, Stefano's sensitivity to shift and style coupled with his renowned technical ability led to opportunities to work on fashion shows, advertising campaigns and iconic celebrities collaborating with Grazia Riverditi that found him a highly versatile pratictioner with a seemingly inexaustible visual range.
Within the collaboration with Grazia , Stefano was finally able to begin to bring his inspired vision of life. Grazia had a profound influence on Stefano and his work. Her philosophy that beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin defines the foundation of Stefano’s artistry to this day.
For nearly 6 years Stefano has worked for Urban Decay cosmetics promoting their philosophy to the industry at large. Stefano is Urban Decay's national make up artist and brand ambassador and travels the country demostrating makeup techniques to other artists.
Grazia and Stefano catalyse their personal growth as artists, they define the platform from which they currently work; a fusion of traditional and experimental, natural and conceptual, classic and avant-garde.
They happily collaborate Creating, Sharing and Celebrating Style, Flawless Look and Timeless Femminility with the Art of Makeup.
